Sexual Abuse Support Services

The Sexual Abuse Support Service aims to support families and individuals to manage the trauma of sexual abuse. Services Include Counselling – face to face or telephone; individual or family group. Information & referral to other resources and relevant supports. Parent/ Family Education – how to keep children and young people safe, manage behavioural problems, deal with emotional, relationship and personal issues and stress management. Support Groups – opportunities to meet with others who have been through similar difficulties and lighten the load. The Sexual Abuse Support Service is a free service, primarily for residents of the City of Onkaparinga, in particular for:

·         Non-offending parents, carers, relatives and other support people of children and young
          people who have been sexually abused, because families need support, too.
·         Young people who have been sexually abused.
·         Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse
