ABOUT THE SUNDAY MAIL CITY-BAY FUN RUN 2008 - FEET ON THE STREET TEAM

In 2007 SJCS, along with support from the Flinders University Housing Research team, fielded a team in the annual City-Bay Fun Run.  The Feet On The Street team successfully raised donations in support of the Southern Family Benefit Fund by participating in the walk/run. 

The enthusiasm of team members last year was so encouraging; we are very excited about increasing participation in this year’s event.  We seek companies and organisations, as well as school groups this year, to join our dynamic Feet On The Street team for 2008!

Donations by way of gathering sponsor dollars for your walking or running efforts over the 3, 6 or 12km distances, will enable struggling families to:

• Participate in parent effectiveness training
• Access professional counseling and support groups
• Gain access to family home visiting programs
• Access a range of practical supports to get parents and children through challenging times
• Receive a Christmas Hamper of food and small gifts

o        10 x registration fees for students = $160

o        20 x registration fees for students = $320

o        30 x registration fees for students = $480
